All About Sleep

Who likes the sound of their alarms in the morning? Snooze it and get some more rest! We’ve all heard the term “beauty rest” now let’s talk about it.

  • During sleep, your body is regenerating skin cells DOUBLE the amount as during the day
  • Lack of sleep can lead to inflammation of the skin, and loss of collagen.
  • Collagen is so important! Keeps our skin plump and glowing
  • Less sleep accelerates the aging process.
  • Damaged cells are repaired in our sleep, therefore, more sleep, more repaired cells.

 

Our body has the wonderful ability to heal itself, and we play an important role by giving our bodies enough rest. Sleeping enough is one important step to keep your skin on track with being plump and beautiful! 

Now what exactly is enough? We’ve all heard the typical 8 hour requirement, but does that work for everyone? Schedules can be tough to maintain, let alone give you enough time to rest. Seven or more hours is actually the recommended minimum. This gives you enough time for your body to fully rest, and regenerate cells to help keep you moving throughout your day!
